The Billboard Hot 100

“Collaborations are powerful.”

This is a very important week in music history for female artist and the female rap game.

I’m a big fan of all genre’s of music and since day one, I’ve always been fascinated by the Billboard Hot 100.

This week Doja Cat & Nicki Minaj earned their first number one ever on the Billboard Hot 100 with the, “Say So” Remix.

I’m excited for both of them. These are the two females who have worked really hard at their craft, especially Nicki who has been in the game for well over a decade. I grew up listening to Nicki Minaj so I couldn’t be happier for her.

I liked the overall visual for the, “Say So” video and I enjoy the song even more now as a remix.

Coming in at number two on the charts this week is Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyonce with the, “Savage” remix. This collaboration is also a huge bop and one we’ll be playing all summer long. I’m really happy for them. To be honest, a part of me wishes this was released on a different week because I think they are also deserving of the number one spot.

In other exciting music news, Britney Spears released the original cover artwork for her 2016 album, “Glory” which reached number 1 on iTunes. As many die-hard Britney fans know, this album was highly criticized from her music video for “Make Me” featuring G-Eazy to her album cover. I’m happy Britney has been active on social media and enjoying quarantine with her man Sam Asghari. I couldn’t be more thrilled that she is posting content consistently.

I wanted to discuss music this week because it’s a special part of my life. I’ve been singing since I was 5 years old and sang in choir in high school. I’ve previously released my own music and know the hard work that goes into writing, singing and producing a hit song.

Today is the one year anniversary of my collaborative song, “Summer Vibes.” Download it today and watch the music video here.

With all this music news and females dominating the charts, I can’t wait to see who else drops music this year. I’m hoping Rihanna returns soon and can’t wait for the release of, “Chromatica” by Lady Gaga releasing on May 29th.

A new release this week is, “Daises” by Katy Perry, the debut single off her new album.

One release I’m looking forward to is Lady Gaga’s second single, “Rain On Me” featuring Ariana Grande dropping May 22. This song is going to be a smash, I can already tell!

I’ve made four new playlist on my Spotify so if you’re looking to listen to some good music, add my playlist titled, Quarantine & Chill, It’s Britney Bitch!, Little Monster , Belieber & Arianator now!

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments and which remix you liked more.

One thing to take note of from this historical week, is that there is power in numbers and that collaborations are powerful.
